OD2

As a part of the academic project, I worked on a 15-second rebranding video campaign for a currently defunct online music download website, OD2 (On Demand Distribution). The video aims at announcing the return of the streaming service with its original mission to serve independent artists that do not currently have record label representation.

Logo Explorations - The design is a sophisticated representation of the passion for music shared by both music creators and listeners.

 

The logo reinforces the brand tagline “Connecting musicians with music lovers” through a flat geometric graphic of a “heart” used in the brand initials OD2; in the closed counter of ‘O’ and in a tilted position to typographically represent ‘d’.

Typeface used: Futura Bold

 

It establishes the brand identity by celebrating and spreading the love for music in a renewed contemporary age. For the color palette, I draw inspiration from the sunrise. The contrast of yellow ochre and red, with a pop of blue, marks the beginning of the new age of the brand.
